Hello! I'm Daryn, the mastermind behind Say La Vie, and I suppose this is the part where I tell you a little bit about myself.

*ahem*

I am a founder, a creative, a strategist, a writer, a storyteller, an older sister, a life-long horse lover, a cinema enthusiast, a laugher, a crier, and a current grad student.

Professionally, I have my degree of Professional Communications Studies, and have been working in the field for nearly a decade; meaning I really know how to communicate (really know). So what does that mean for you? Well if you landed on my page it's most likely because you need my help with something creative, strategic, a bit of writing, or are interested in my coaching services.

Strategic work is a high-level approach to projects; I take a look at communications as a whole, how they contribute to overall business operations, how they may be harming or helping your business, and how they can all work together. Some questions I ask: Does this strategically align with business goals? Is this the proper message? How do we maintain consistency across all possible platforms? Who are we trying to talk to, and why? Are the right people informed in a way that is accessible for them?

Written work is, (would you believe it) writing. Here is where it gets a little bonkers...I can write practically anything for anyone. Hard to wrap your head around I know, but the beauty of being a communications professional means that I am a chameleon of the written word. If you know roughly what you want people to understand, and who those people are, I can take on the voice of your business (or you) and ensure the message is delivered effectively, appropriately, and clearly (proper grammar and all that).

Creative work is where branding and strategy meet. That event you know you have to plan but are feeling overwhelmed with? Coaching is where you take control. I have developed a training course that allows you to move through a workbook, discovering what values really matter to your business, what professional communications actually is, why it's important, and you end the course with your very own communications plan going forward.
